US visas for Indians to grow 14% a year compartment 2020
Recession or boom, the US stays the favourite end for Indian business travellers and tourists.
The US embassy in India expects a 14 per cent year-on-year expansion in the series of visas that it will be estimate compartment 2020, with the series of visas released channel the 2-million mark by that year.
Addressing a press conference, the Minister Counsellor for Consular Affairs, Mr James W. Herman, said that the series of visas released could hold about 2.1 million by 2020.
Responding to a question on either the new Executive Order of the US President, Mr Barack Obama, which liberalised certain forms of visas for Indians, was meant to attract business people or tourists, Mr Herman said “Our reading of the executive sequence is as extended as possible. The sequence does not request to practice visas, which are the H and L visas, as good as tyro visas.”
“It is important to boost the people-to-people ties by arising limit visas and mixing B1-B2 the business traveller visas. It allows one to revisit kin on one revisit and do business on another revisit but requesting for another visa,” he added.
Officials said visa issuals grew at around 4 per cent per year from 2001-08. “But because of 9/11, there was a poignant drop. But over the final integrate of years there was a surge, it was adult about 30 per cent for a while,” officials said.
Officials combined that the stream duration was the best time to request for a US visa.
“We have no wait time. Our rise deteriorate starts from commencement of Apr which is when we get unequivocally busy. Now it will take reduction than a week to get an appointment solely in Hyderabad,” Mr Herman said.
